(St. John’s, NL) –Johnson is pleased to announce that for the second year in a row it is supporting the Children’s Wish Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Exile Island fundraising event. Johnson has committed to entering a team of five individuals that will fund-raise a minimum of $10,000 to grant the wish of a child in Newfoundland and Labrador.
“We are excited to participate in Exile Island again this year,” said Ken Bennett, President of Johnson. “Last year our team embraced Exile Island and was proud to raise $65,000 and grant the wishes of six children in Newfoundland and Labrador living with life-threatening illnesses. Meeting these children and their families was an emotional and rewarding experience for our team. This experience made our decision to participate this year an easy one.”
“Exiling Johnson again this year is so exciting for us because at Children’s Wish Foundation we believe that a rich and wonderful life is measured – not in years – but in precious moments shared with loved ones; and thanks to the incredible support of Johnson we will once again be able to create more positive, magical experiences for children with life-threatening illness,” said Edie Newton, Chapter Director for the Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter of Children’s Wish.
Renee Dyer, Vice-President, Consulting and Plan Benefits and Johnson’s Team Captain for Exile Island said, “Team Johnson is looking forward to contributing to this great cause. Like last year our goal is to raise a minimum of $10,000 and we are all hoping to raise a lot more. Exile Island is a fun and rewarding experience for a great cause.”
